Muses and Meanderings is a self-published book of charming and evocative poems by the poet Dottie Metzler of Phoenix, Arizona. Just awhile back we posted about the beautiful clouds we sometimes get here in Phoenix. Here are a two of Dottie’s cloud poems :
CLOUDS
Clouds go
Drifting by,
Soft and feathery;
They float through
The air.
Hanging
Suspended
In the atmosphere;
Angels’ feet
Rest there!
Like snow
Forming drifts
Like where children play
Beautiful
To see.
CLOUD PICTURES
Clouds floating across the sky
Pique imagination as they pass by.
A turtle slowly walks across the sphere:
Be careful! A crocodile is near!
They gradually evolve into a frog.
Look! That one there looks like a dog.
Now a pig with belly fat.
Wait! It looks more like a cat.
And so it goes; as time goes by,
I see a zoo of animals in the sky.
